“I’m a Transport Team Leader working as part of the transport and logistics team at CLEAN’s Camberley laundry, which specialises in bed linen, towelling and table linen serving customers in Surrey, Hampshire, Berkshire West London and beyond. Camberley was purpose built by CLEAN in 2009 and opened for business in 2010. Last year I also organised and completed a full Operator Recognition Scheme (FORS) audit; the voluntary accreditation scheme that promotes best practice for our transportation service. This helps CLEAN stand out as a textile rental and laundry services supplier.”
My Career
“CLEAN have given me the tools, guidance and support in providing excellent man management. I have also gained skills in areas that I was previously unfamiliar with. As CLEAN go from strength to strength, I would like to think that there would be opportunities for me to grow with them, in order for me to be a strong asset within the company.”
What does my job involve?
“My role at CLEAN is really varied. I’m involved with the day to day operation of the transport team at our Camberley Laundry Site. As part of the FORS scheme we also measure, monitor and improve operational performance, and I teach members of my team on vehicle safety, efficiency and environmental protection. I also conduct health and safety assessments at customer premises, ensuring our deliveries are always safe for our drivers, the customers, employees and the general public. I also train and educate sales and account managers on how to perform risk assessments and their importance.”
Whats it like to work at CLEAN?
“The secret of joy in work is contained in one word – excellence. To know how to do something well is to enjoy it. I really enjoy working with my colleagues who are all highly skilled, professional and most importantly friendly.”
