Meet Terry

Account Manager

“I’m one of the Linen Account Managers here at CLEAN I look after customers in London and the Northern Home Counties served by our Banbury, Camberley and Slough laundries. Account Managers are responsible for the commercial aspects of customer contracts and ensuring customers understand how the service works and what their obligations are to ensure the service runs smoothly for them. We are the primary point of contact for any escalated customer queries and hold regular service review meetings with customers plus we monitor and report upon the performance of each account to the business.”

My Career

“My career in the textile services industry spans 30 years. I have worked at CLEAN for over 12 years during that time we have grown from a regional operator to one with near national coverage. With CLEAN winning bigger scale and higher profile accounts the service has developed today CLEAN provides a much higher level of account management. Like all Account Managers I rely on the support of my colleagues at all levels and we help each other by sharing our experiences and knowledge.”

What does my job involve?

“I like the fact that I’m not tied down to an office as I like to be out and about meeting people. I meet and deal with a wide variety of people at all levels within the customer accounts I manage. Some days I will be discussing the real nitty-gritty with a housekeeping manager on other occasions I will be arranging contract renewals with hotel general managers or owners. An important part of the role is to monitor and manage the inventory and stock levels that our customers hold for the service to work. It is important that the housekeeping teams we work with at the hotels have robust linen management processes in place, that stock is rotated and stored correctly and to keep control of costs they don’t over or under order.”

Whats it like to work at CLEAN?

“I like the variety of challenges each day brings and the people I work with. It’s great to know that I have the support of my colleagues at all levels and we succeed by sharing of knowledge and learn from each other. I would describe CLEAN as an innovative company with welcoming and friendly colleagues.”

Away from work

“In my spare time I am a gamer I enjoy a variety of games on the Xbox. I also love the outdoors plus I like my cars, so I guess I’m a bit of a petrolhead.”
