Home of the world famous Pudding Club
The privately owned hotel is famous as the home of The Pudding Club. It was founded in 1985 to prevent the demise of the traditional great British pudding. Over the years meetings of the Club have been featured on numerous TV and radio programs and press articles.
Three Ways House Hotel, originally built as a private house from Cotswold stone, has been a hotel since the early 1900’s and continues to welcome guests from all parts of the world. The hotel is privately owned by Peter Henderson and Jill and Simon Coombe, and managed by an enthusiastic and professional team of people. The owners are committed to doing as much as they can to help protect the environment, and were awarded Silver in the Green Tourism Awards 2008 and 2010 under the Green Tourism Business Scheme.
Using local suppliers
As an award winning hotel constantly looking to improve its green credentials and support local businesses, Peter, Jill and Simon began to identify new things that could be improved on - and promptly undertook a review of the hotel and restaurant’s linen and laundry supplier. Before 2009, the Three Ways House Hotel’s linen had been maintained by another large national provider.
“We weren’t really that happy with the service being received from our previous provider and so the approach from CLEAN was a timely one,” explained Peter, “we were actually considering an alternative provider before then, but after a visit to their laundry in Cheltenham we went away having been really impressed with their ethos much higher standards and efficiency.
“We recognise that laundry providers are human beings, and therefore not faultless, but when problems do arise we need a service that handles these both quickly and easily.” Having been eager to find a laundry service that matched their expectations. the owners were delighted to sign a contract with CLEAN based on mutual trust and hopefully as an ongoing relationship.
Quality, cleanliness and efficiency
“As hoteliers, we have our very busy seasons, one of the busiest of which is usually over the summer,” explains Peter. “One of the largest concerns at Three Ways House Hotel is shortage of stock for linen during these periods of the year. CLEAN have proved that they are well placed to provide a premium service to hotels and restaurants where quality, cleanliness efficiency and reliability are their prime concerns.”
Looking to the future
Having replaced their previously unsatisfactory provider with the reliable CLEAN service, the Three Ways’ costs were not been reduced substantially so the decision to keep using them rested heavily on their ability to handle any problems during the busy summer months.
