“I’m the Site Director at CLEAN’s Camberley laundry, which specialises in bed linen, towelling and table linen serving customers in Surrey, Hampshire, Berkshire West London and beyond. Camberley was purpose built by CLEAN in 2009 and opened for business in 2010. The site recently won the 'Professional Services' title at the Toast of Surrey Awards, the judges were particularly impressed with our efforts towards sustainability and customer service. We are always pleased to welcome customers to the laundry to show them how it all works as people are often surprised and impressed by the sheer size and scale of the operation.”
My Career
“I've been fortunate enough to be entrusted with a variety of senior roles, and on a large number of projects in my time with CLEAN. This has given me a breadth of exposure to the business, its processes and systems, but most importantly its people and customer base. There is 'always' something to learn every day if you have a curious mind. The biggest opportunity to develop comes from the people you work with, and we have a very broad and diverse team of talented people, that I have, and continue to learn from. The company continues to have aggressive growth ambitions, and I hope to be able to support that ambition directly in more Senior Operational or Project Based Roles.”
What does my job involve?
“I am responsible for the whole site so it’s my job is to ensure the laundry is run to best in class standards. This means I oversee the daily production and transport operation at the site as well as taking a more strategic view to drive year on year improvements that will improve profitability and the service we offer our customers.”
Whats it like to work at CLEAN?
“I love my job because CLEAN genuinely cares about the people who use our services and the staff who work hard to achieve great results. The challenge, the people, the variety, the autonomy, and the chance to make improvements every day, at all levels of the business.”
Away from work
“In the past I used to race motorbikes, and I have done a sub 9min lap of the Nurburgring on one of the many motorbike's I've owned over the years.”
