The ROLE

A Day in Dora's World

As Customer Service & Administration Executive at our Slough site, no two days are the same. Dora supports customers and the production team, keeps administration on track, assists at the Camberley site, manages weekly payroll across both locations, backs up multiple departments, drives projects, and brings new starters into the fold.

She joined CLEAN in July 2022, bringing approximately 7 years of frontline hospitality experience. Ready to see the other side of customer service and work more closely with operations, she found the role to be a natural fit from day one.

"I enjoy problem-solving, thinking outside the box, and finding solutions that create positive outcomes for everyone involved."

What Makes The Difference

Skills That Shape Every Interaction

For Dora, the essentials of this role go beyond the technical. Strong communication, sharp organisation, resilience, and creative problem-solving matter hugely. But so does kindness.

She believes that treating people with genuine respect, building real rapport, and going the extra mile can turn ordinary interactions into something truly memorable for both customers and colleagues.

Behind The Scenes

The Invisible Cape

Much of what Dora does happens quietly in the background. Balancing stock levels, managing competing priorities, and supporting multiple sites simultaneously requires diplomacy, calm judgement, and constant problem-solving. When things get busy, she handles it steadily.

One standout moment came when Dora resolved a particularly tricky stock issue by thinking creatively. It not only worked, it won the customer's lasting trust. A colleague later joked that Dora had been wearing her "invisible cape" during that moment. It is a compliment she still smiles about.

She is equally proud of the role she plays in supporting colleagues, particularly when helping new team members settle in and grow in confidence.

"Seeing people develop and take initiative after training is incredibly rewarding."

Growth & Recognition

Trusted, Recognised, and Growing

Dora's professional development at CLEAN has been significant. Being trusted with weekly payroll responsibility across two sites early in her tenure was both a surprise and a point of real pride. She now completes that responsibility with confidence and efficiency every week.

She has also developed the professional skill of managing expectations, knowing how to say no diplomatically when needed, and finding solutions that genuinely work for both customers and the business.

Her contributions have been formally recognised twice: Dora has been nominated for Employee of the Quarter on two occasions, including once early in her time at the company after stepping up to handle customer queries across all sites over a full weekend. That recognition holds a proud place on her desk to this day.

People & Culture

What Makes This Place Special

Ask Dora what makes the workplace stand out and she will tell you it is the people. She values the positive atmosphere, the genuinely diverse personalities across the team, and the way colleagues support one another while managing to balance hard work with warmth and laughter.

She particularly appreciates the trust and encouragement she receives from her managers and teammates, which gives her the freedom to bring her whole self to work every day.
