Finding The Right Fit
Sylwia Euskirchen joined CLEAN Cheltenham two years ago, after her role at Amazon's Book Depository came to an end. The warehouse work had been quiet and repetitive. The production floor was something else entirely.
She discovered a job with the variety and energy she had been missing. Every day brings different tasks and different machines, and a chance to use the full range of skills she brought with her. The work is physical, which is one of the things she enjoys most about it.
The Role
An Eye For Quality
Each morning begins with a calm focus, checking the systems before the production floor comes to life. Sylwia looks after a team of around twelve colleagues, matching people thoughtfully to the work that suits their strengths.
Her favourite place is the extension room, off the workwear packing area, where she carries out the final quality inspection. It is her job to check the work one last time before it goes out, making sure the right order leaves with the best quality and in full.
The pace suits her. There is always another order moving through, and she likes that the job keeps her on her feet.

The Last Look Before It Leaves
Quality is a series of small decisions, and in the extension room they are Sylwia's to make. When garments arrive with issues, she is the one who decides what happens next. Nothing damaged reaches a customer on her watch.

Teamwork sits at the heart of Sylwia's day. The team at Cheltenham brings together a mix of nationalities, and that mix has built a strong sense of shared purpose on the floor.
It has given her something personal too. Working alongside colleagues from different backgrounds has helped her improve her English, day by day and shift by shift. She speaks warmly of managers and colleagues who are supportive and kind, and who keep the mood light while the work gets done.
