Team Leader – Production

Based in our workwear laundry you will manage a team of staff in line with KPI’s and budgetary targets with, of course, a focus on good H&S practise.

Our workwear division is a key and growing part of our nation-wide business and we offer development and career progression to those with the potential to succeed.

As we are dedicated to our customer satisfaction, quality control is key and you will be responsible for training and managing a team.

You will work a 40-hour week with shift work between 6am and 5pm; on most occasions you will work Monday – Friday, but with occasional weekend work.

To be successful in your application, you will be able to demonstrate the following experience:

  • A focus on customer satisfaction
  • Supervision of a team
  • Management of team performance with controlled standards and budgeted targets
  • Communication skills
  • Problem solving
  • Flexible and proactive approach
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • General HR skills e.g. recruitment, performance and attendance management, team-motivation etc.
  • English: written and spoken

This role will support the Production Manager(PM) and might deputise for them when required.

Experience within an industrial laundry is preferred, but not essential.

The work environment is a hygienically-controlled area with strict restrictions, this means that no jewellery or make up can be worn and a uniform is provided.

Engineer (Shifts)

We have an opportunity for motivated and competent engineers to join the engineering team at our site in Slough.

The successful candidates will be experienced in both mechanical and electrical engineering, with a control bias being essential. It would be highly desirable if this experience has been gained in a high speed/volume manufacturing or production-type environment.

Responsibilities will include:

  • To work effectively with other engineers on site.
  • To comply with all Company and legal standards when working (Health and Safety, hygiene, etc).
  • To ensure effective fault diagnosis of any plant and equipment on site that is not operating to the required targets.
  • To carry out repairs when needed.
  • To carry out planned preventative maintenance activity as instructed.

Experience:

  • English - spoken and written.
  • IT Skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Academic qualifications and/or apprenticeship to support the role (mechanical/electrical/control skills), with a control bias.
  • Experience in a high speed/volume manufacturing or production-type environment.
