Engineer (Nottingham Laundry Site)

Due to continued growth, we have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and competent Engineer to join the team at our Nottingham laundry site. This is a pivotal role to the site, and the overall purpose is to carry out engineering maintenance, repair and project activity to support the delivery of an effective and efficient site laundry operation.

We are looking for candidates who hold an NVQ Level 3 in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering and/or have completed an apprenticeship (mechanical/electrical/control skills) with a control bias. In terms of work background, we are looking for candidates who have experience in a high speed/volume manufacturing or production-type environment – if you have worked in a commercial laundry setting, that would be amazing! In addition, you will need to possess strong IT skills, and have a good level of written and spoken English.

Responsibilities will include:

  • To work effectively with other engineers on site
  • To comply with all Company and legal standards when working (Health and Safety, hygiene, etc)
  • To ensure effective fault diagnosis of any plant and equipment on site that is not operating to the required targets
  • To carry out repairs when needed in a timely and efficient manner
  • To carry out planned preventative maintenance activity as instructed
  • Working with the site production team to maintain production levels.

Experience:

  • English - spoken and written
  • IT Skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Yard Person (Ross-on-Wye Laundry Site)

We are now recruiting for a Yard Person to join the transport team at our Site in Ross-on-Wye.

The responsibilities of this role are to maintain the yard to the agreed standards, segregating out the work, liaising with the drivers on a daily basis and helping with the loading of vehicles as requested.

The role is likely to suit someone organised with a ‘can-do’ attitude. You will have a strong personality and communication style to be able to work with the drivers and manage the loading area. Previous experience in this type of environment would be an advantage.

Successful candidates will be required to work rotating shift patterns comprising of early and late shifts. One week you would work Monday to Friday 6am to 2pm. The following week you would work Monday to Friday 2pm to 10pm and possibly Saturdays on a rota basis.

Essential

  • Ability to receive written and oral instruction and communicate with colleagues in English
  • Fit and healthy to cope with the physical demands of handling heavy goods (packs of linen, towelling and moving of full laundry cages)
  • You must be able to prove your right to work in the United Kingdom

Regional Sales Consultant (Workwear)

Reporting to the Sales Director (Workwear), we are looking for a highly motivated Regional Sales Consultant to cover the Midlands area on a permanent basis. As one of the leading laundry service companies in the UK we are currently going through a period of significant growth. A key element of our expansion includes the recruitment of the following role.

What the role involves

  • Establishing a personal portfolio of workwear customers through cold calling, telephone or via personal visits to ensure sales targets that are set by the company are not only met but very often exceeded
  • Consulting with the prospective customers to establish that the correct fit for purpose and quantity of garments are selected and administered
  • Ensuring paperwork is completed correctly and submitted on time in accordance with customer and company timelines
  • Working unaccompanied in a dedicated sales area ensuring good knowledge of local customers contract end dates, clothing requirements and timelines are met
  • Reporting weekly/ monthly pipelines and forecasts to the Sales Director on time and ensuring the CLEAN CRM System (we use NetSuite) is kept up to date to allow correct and accurate forecasts to be submitted

Experience

  • A proven high calibre sales professional with demonstrable experience within the UK laundry and Workwear industry and understand the dynamics (i.e. business drivers, timings etc.)
  • A demonstrable record of success in winning profitable business and being able to demonstrate a good profitable return (EBIT)
  • Experience within a Regional Sales Role, and proven ability to work unaccompanied within a dedicated sales territory
  • The capability of producing new revenue by researching and analysing potential prospects and sales options (i.e. a consultative sales approach)
  • Someone who has a personal network of key decision makers industries that use workwear services
  • Someone who can lead and coordinate contract negotiations to a successful close
  • Strong IT skills (Microsoft suite and CRM tools)
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • A full driving licence in accordance within UK regulations is essential
  • You must be able to prove your right to work in the United Kingdom

Production Operatives - Evening Shift (Nottingham Laundry Site)

We require production operatives to join the evening shift Production Team at our Nottingham commercial laundry site at Canterbury Road, Radford in Nottingham (NG8 1PT).

We require individuals to join our evening shift working on a 4 days on 2 days off shift pattern. The normal hours of work are 3.30 p.m. – 11.00 p.m. however, it is essential that candidates are flexible as there will be a requirement to work some additional hours to cover for any peaks in operational demands.

Responsibilities will include ensuring the efficient and smooth running of the production area, processing flat work through ironers, sorting work and packing. The successful candidates will demonstrate a positive attitude, the ability to work as part of a team and have previous experience of working in a commercial laundry or production type environment.

The role is for 40 hours per week (0800 hrs – 1630 hrs), 5 days a week. This MUST include a Saturday and Monday, and then we are happy for the right candidate to choose which other 3 days in the week they would like to work.
