We are now recruiting for a production operatives at our commercial laundry site at Netherton Road, Overross in Ross-on-Wye, HR9 7QQ.

We are also offering flexible roles with various hours available between 6am and 6pm.

We are recruiting for a Shunter for the Ross on Wye site. You will be reporting to the Transport Team Leader in this role. You will assist the Transport Team with the loading, unloading, and shunting of vehicles at the Ross on Wye site and warehouse.

The successful candidate will be required to work a 40hour week on an alternating rota. One week Monday to Fridays 6am to 2pm and the next week Monday to Friday 2pm to 10pm. Saturdays will be on a rota basis.

We require someone who can offer flexibility in hours of work when needed.

A Class 2 licence is essential for this role. A valid CPC Card is desirable but not essential. This is a great development opportunity for anyone with a Class 2 licence wanting to improve their driving skills, before taking the step to a driver role in the future.

Reporting to the Sales Director (Workwear), we are looking for a highly motivated Regional Sales Consultant to cover the Oxfordshire area on a permanent basis. What the role involves

  • Establishing a personal portfolio of workwear customers through cold calling, telephone or via personal visits to ensure sales targets that are set by the company are not only met but very often exceeded
  • Consulting with the prospective customers to establish that the correct fit for purpose and quantity of garments are selected and administered
  • Ensuring paperwork is completed correctly and submitted on time in accordance with customer and company timelines
  • Working unaccompanied in a dedicated sales area ensuring good knowledge of local customers contract end dates, clothing requirements and timelines are met
  • Reporting weekly/ monthly pipelines and forecasts to the Sales Director on time and ensuring the CLEAN CRM System (we use NetSuite) is kept up to date to allow correct and accurate forecasts to be submitted

What qualities and experience you need to be considered? We are looking for candidates with:

  • A proven high calibre sales professional with demonstrable experience within the UK laundry and Workwear industry and understand the dynamics (i.e. business drivers, timings etc.)
  • A demonstrable record of success in winning profitable business and being able to demonstrate a good profitable return (EBIT)
  • Experience within a Regional Sales Role, and proven ability to work unaccompanied within a dedicated sales territory
  • The capability of producing new revenue by researching and analysing potential prospects and sales options (i.e. a consultative sales approach)
  • Someone who has a personal network of key decision makers industries that use workwear services
  • Someone who can lead and coordinate contract negotiations to a successful close
  • Strong IT skills (Microsoft suite and CRM tools)
  • Excellent presentation skills

Transport Team Leader (Camberley Laundry Site)

Following an internal promotion, we are now looking to recruit a Production Key Operative to join the team at our site at Hatherley Road in Cheltenham, GL51 6EU.

Please note the shift pattern is 5 days out of 7 equating to 45 hours per week and may include weekend working.

What the role involves

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Transport Manager in managing the on-site transport team, which will include:

  • Conducting regular performance reviews, as well as dealing with day- to- day issues that arise with the drivers (vehicle cleanliness, uniform, employee behaviour etc.)
  • Carrying out daily driver de-briefs and ensuring any non-compliance is reported- Managing driver risk profile and identifying and supporting driver training needs
  • Accident investigation and management
  • Driver CPC training
  • Licence checking and ensuring driver and vehicles are legally compliant
  • Supporting the TM to ensure KPI’s and budgetary targets are met
  • Ensuring all vehicles planned for maintenance are available and any future planning is managed and completed.

Experience required

We are looking for candidates who have real ambition and are eager to progress as our plans for growth continue.

To be considered for the role, you will need to have had a minimum of 1 years’ experience in a similar role including routing and scheduling of both vehicles and drivers and ensuring driver training and assessment is carried out. You will have team leadership experience including the ability to keep the team motivated. You will have the confidence to escalate any issues that may arise, will be customer focused, be able to remain calm under pressure and flexible to meet the demands of the role.

You will need a valid Class 2 (CAT C) licence, up to date driver CPC and tacho card– if you have a CPC Manager qualification this would be an advantage, but not essential.

In addition, computer literacy and good communication skills in English, are essential for this role.

This is a pivotal role to the site, to ensure the delivery of an effective engineering support and maintenance service in line with KPI and budgetary targets.

In this role, you will manage, develop, inspire and lead the engineering team on site, ensuring compliance with all company and legal standards when working. You will also be responsible for managing any contractors we have on site and liaising directly with engineering suppliers regarding maintenance and spares activity. You will be focused on continuous improvement and excellent workmanship.

Experience and qualifications:

We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic candidate who has had experience in a similar role, ideally in the laundry industry or at least within a high speed/volume manufacturing or production-type industry. You will need to have experience of managing a team, had responsibility for managing budgets, and have proven examples of where you have made continuous improvements in your current/previous roles. You will need to hold academic qualifications to support the role (mechanical, electrical, control skills), MEWP/FLT/IPAF, Six Sigma/5S/Kasien and IOSH/NEBOSH. Finally, communication skills in English and IT literacy are essential.
