Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer
Nottingham
Due to continued growth, we are looking for are looking for 2 motivated and competent Engineers to join our fabulous team in Nottingham. We are a leading laundry company providing professional linen and workwear rental to the hospitality (hotels, holiday parks and serviced apartments) and manufacturing industries throughout the UK.
Salary:
Up to £40,845 per annum
Shift Pattern or Hours of Work:
The role is for c 42 hours per week on a 4 on 4 off rota which will include days, night and weekends - 6.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m. and 6.00 p.m. to 6.00 a.m.
Your new role
Our engineers are pivotal to ensure that our laundry can function; the overall purpose is to carry out engineering maintenance, repair and project activity to support the delivery of an effective and efficient site laundry operation. Day-to-day the role involves:
- Ensuring effective fault diagnosis of any plant and equipment on site that is not operating to the required targets
- Carrying out repairs when required in a timely and efficient manner with limited disruption to operational running
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance activity as instructed
- Working effectively alone as well as part of a small team of engineers onsite
- Complying with all the company's policies and legal standards when working (Health and Safety, hygiene, etc)
- Working with the site production team to maintain production levels
What do I need to apply for the role?
We are looking for candidates who have experience in a fast paced volume manufacturing or production-type environment – if you have worked in a commercial laundry setting, that would be amazing. We are also looking for:
- Candidates who have completed an apprenticeship (mechanical/electrical/control skills) with a control bias, or hold a college -based qualification in mechanical/electrical engineering
- Someone who is able to read and understand electrical/engineering drawings
- A confident communicator with a good level of written and spoken English
- You will also need to be computer literate and possess strong IT skills
- A focus and passion for providing great service to your colleagues and the business
- Someone who is able to work well as part of a team
- Eligibility to work in the UK
- A flexible approach to your work and a positive can-do attitude
