Engineer at our Slough laundry
“I carry out engineering maintenance, repair and project activity to ensure CLEAN’s £15m super laundry in Berkshire, which has been labelled ‘one of the most modern industrial laundries in the UK, if not the World’ by Europe’s largest supplier of high-quality laundry machinery Kannegiesser, delivers an effective and efficient laundry operation. Every day offers a different challenge and is exciting. No two days are ever the same.”
“I have progressed well in a relatively short time with the company. I’m now keen to progress further, with training and support from colleagues I feel confident I can climb the career ladder here at CLEAN.”
What does my job involve?
“My job involves working with the other onsite engineers to maintain and ensure all of the plant equipment in our new state-of-the-art 42,000 sq. ft. laundry continues to operate to the required targets. I have to ensure that both planned maintenance and any faults are diagnosed in a timely and effective manner and repairs are carried out efficiently, so there’s minimum disruption and we meet our production demands. ”
Whats it like to work at CLEAN?
“Every day I’m challenged to try new things and improve my skills, particularly in areas where I have previously been weak, which is ultimately making me a better all-round engineer. I would describe my work life at CLEAN as open, caring and respectful.”
Away from work
“Whether at work or in my personal life I am a perfectionist and want the job to be done properly!”
