Meet Lucian

Transport Manager at our Slough Laundry

I’m the Transport Manger at CLEAN’s Slough laundry. We specialise in bed linen, towelling and table linen serving hotel customers in London, the South East of England and beyond. Working as part of the transport team at Slough deserves its title of a super-laundry because it is probably the most modern industrial laundry in the UK, if not the World! I transferred here from CLEAN’s former production site in Maidenhead.

My Career

“I started joined CLEAN in 2016 when the Slough laundry opened. In my time here CLEAN have provided complete set of training for each new task assigned. My career progression is all thanks to CLEAN the natural progression was to become the Transport Manager with overall responsibility for a whole site. I am always looking ahead with CLEAN and always believe that only person that drags you down it’s you.”

What does my job involve?

“My role as Transport Manger is to ensure that the transport key performance indicators and targets for the site are met and everything is run efficiently. One of the main objectives is to improve fuel efficiency another is to make sure vehicles and drivers are never left idle as wasted time equates to wasted money. Our drivers and vehicles represent the CLEAN brand in physical form, so an important part of my job is to make sure vehicles are clean and tidy, drivers are wearing the correct uniform. We take Health and Safety very seriously therefore performing vehicle safety checks and recording of incidents are vitally important.”

Whats it like to work at CLEAN?

“I enjoy what I do, every day there is a new challenge. Whether it’s putting right any vehicle compliance issues or helping solve issues for customers I know we are doing our bit to help create a first-class service. Teamwork, improvement and achievement are the words that spring to mind whenever I reflect on what it’s like to work for CLEAN.”

Away from work

“I enjoy relaxing and spending time with my family.”
