CLEAN secures Alcumus SafeContractor accreditation
Posted on 11-Jun-2018
CLEAN has once again received accreditation from the UK's fastest growing health and safety assessment scheme – Alcumus SafeContractor – for achieving excellent health and safety standards in the workplace.
After undergoing an extensive assessment, the leading accreditation scheme recognised CLEAN’s extremely rigorous standards in health and safety management among its contractors.
Employing more than 1,450 people across England, CLEAN predominantly supplies textile rental and laundry services to the hospitality sector, delivering over five million linen items to its customers each week.
Speaking of the latest achievement, Head of Health, Safety & Environment, Matt De La Bertauche CLEAN, said: “CLEAN’s application for the accreditation is driven by our foundation of excellence to deliver a safe workplace for all employees, while being the best textiles service provider.
“This latest Alcumus SafeContractor accreditation is testament to the CLEAN operations team who have delivered extensive health and safety checks and implemented procedures to eliminate potential risks across all seven of our laundry sites, head office and customer service centre.”
Gemma Archibald, Director of Alcumus SafeContractor, said: "Major organisations simply cannot afford to run the risk of employing contractors who are not able to prove that they have sound health and safety policies in place."
She added: "More companies need to understand the importance of adopting good risk management in the way that CLEAN has done. The firm’s high standard has set an example which hopefully will be followed by other companies within the sector.”
