Paragon service many of the UK’s leading hospitality and workwear customers across a large geographical region of the UK.

The UKHA the largest Housekeepers Association in Europe and CLEAN a UK market leader in laundry services are pleased to announce their sponsorship of the Innovation Stage at the Independent Hotel Show to be held at the Olympia Exhibition Centre from October 20-21 2015.

In June this year we were delighted to welcome our trans-atlantic visitors from the TRSA. TRSA is an international organization representing companies that supply laundered garments, uniforms, linens, floor mats, towels and other products necessary for businesses to operate safe, clean facilities, serve their customers and provide a clean, attractive environment and image. The visit provided an opportunity to showcase the technology and innovations, our purpose built Camberley plant provides and a time to discuss important issues and ideas within the laundry sector. The visit was thoroughly enjoyed by all.

Our Group Health & Safety and Environmental Manager Stewart MacDonnell and our Chief Operating Officer Sarah Cooper were presented with the gold award at the prestigious ceremony held at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole Hotel, on Tuesday, July 15th. Dating back to 1956, the RoSPA Occupational Health and Safety Awards scheme is the largest and longest-running programme of its kind in the UK. It recognises commitment to accident and ill health prevention and is open to businesses and organisations of all types and sizes from across the UK and overseas. The scheme does not just look at accident records, but also entrants' overarching health and safety management systems, including important practices such as strong leadership and workforce involvement. This key fixture in the health and safety calendar offers organisations a prime opportunity to prove their ongoing commitment to raising health and safety standards and to be a part of the longest running and most highly respected occupational safety awards programme.

On Wednesday 10th June, local laundry CLEAN held a “bring a dish to work” event where staff created a variety of culinary delights.

We are delighted to announce CLEAN is among the winners in the RoSPA Occupational Health and Safety Awards 2015. The Gold award in the prestigious annual scheme run by the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) will be presented during a ceremony at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole Hotel, at the National Exhibition Centre, on July 14, 2015. As the UK’s family safety charity, RoSPA’s mission to save lives and reduce injuries covers all ages and stages of life. In support of this mission, the RoSPA Awards, which date back 59 years, recognise commitment to continuous improvement in accident and ill health prevention at work. Through the scheme, which is open to businesses and organisations of all types and sizes from across the UK and overseas, judges consider entrants’ overarching occupational health and safety management systems, including practices such as leadership and workforce involvement. David Rawlins, RoSPA’s awards manager, said: “The RoSPA Awards encourage improvement in occupational health and safety management. Organisations that gain recognition for their health and safety management systems, such as CLEAN, contribute to raising standards overall and we congratulate them.”

CLEAN is delighted to announce we have recently been informed by the British Safety Council that they have awarded us with an International Safety Award with Merit for the third consecutive year. This award, from one of the most respected Health and Safety organisations in the world, reflects our improving results in health and safety over the previous twelve months and confirms that our safety systems, policies and procedures are considered world-class.

The Textile Service Association (TSA) research has confirmed that the quality of linen provided actually influences the choice of hotel, and that guests are prepared to pay more for quality. Bed linen plays a vital role in the impression a hotel makes on it guests and there is no doubt that laundry is an important function for hotels. Unfortunately however this service is not always given the priority and focus it deserves. Laundry quality shapes the guest’s impression, and laundry costs and laundry management impact a hotel’s bottom line and its operational efficiencies. Striking the correct balance between the two is crucial, and a pool linen service is a major factor in achieving this balance.
