Sean joined CLEAN as a Van Delivery Driver in 2016. After joining CLEAN he qualified firstly as a Category 2 HGV driver and then passed his C+E test allowing him to drive any large goods vehicle with a trailer up to a combined weight of 44 tonnes. Since then, Sean has progressed to become a Senior Driver and Driving Assessor. CLEAN has been presented with the prestigious RoSPA Presidents Award for maintaining high standards in all aspects of health and safety. The President’s Award is presented only to a select few organisations that have achieved 10 or more consecutive RoSPA Gold Medal Awards.

CLEAN has been shortlisted for two prestigious transport industry accolades at the Motor Transport Awards, with the winners set to be announced on 7 September.

CLEAN’s Slough and Camberley laundries have been awarded a RoSPA Gold Fleet Safety Award, which champions excellence and improvement in the key area of managing occupational road risk.

Josh first started working for CLEAN in 2013 as a Production Operator, feeding linen into the ironer. Through hard work and determination, he was moved to the towel folder and trained to work in the wash house. After a year of working for CLEAN, he was promoted to Production Supervisor where his role was to supervise production, help wherever he could, report any accidents or machinery malfunctions to the engineers. After three years of being production supervisor, he was promoted to Production Manager.

In this video we guide you through our ISO 9001 Quality Management Certified laundry process at our Cheltenham laundry where the uniforms are scanned and tracked throughout the process. Firstly, all the uniforms returned by our customers are scanned to register that they have been returned to the laundry at this stage they are also sorted, checked for any damage that might need repair and any foreign objects are removed. The next stage is washing where full thermal disinfection is carried out to remove any dirt, bacteria or viruses that could be present, before transferal to our high care facility. This is where a second scan and quality check takes place before the finishing process where drying and further thermal disinfection take place. Any damage that has been reported, either by customers before being returned to the laundry or identified at the laundry, undergoes stringent inspection. Depending upon the findings of the inspection, garments are either repaired, damaged labels replaced or garments are removed and replaced with new garments.

Claire started working for CLEAN in as a Site Administrator in 2014. Her first role was to support the management team and provide admin support to ensure the smooth running of the laundry site. In this role Claire assisted with payroll administration, ensuring people got paid correctly and on time, supporting the human resources and being a point of contact for customer service queries, liaising with the operations and transport teams and the laundry and the customer service centre. A health and safety culture and ensuring colleagues, customers and contractors return home safely to their families at the end of every working day is part of the company ethos at CLEAN.

In this video you will learn how CLEAN help to support Somerset Larder produce up to 7000 meals a day to a network of 10 restaurants and food outlets as well as catering for over 4000 events so far from their kitchens in Bridgwater, Somerset. Therefore, having fresh, clean workwear garments available for their team members each and every day is essential. The company and their employees need the right workwear garments that are comfortable, robust and adhere to all the necessary safety standards.

On 2nd May 2022 a fire broke out at our laundry site in Netherton Road, Ross-on-Wye. Firstly, and most importantly, nobody was injured in the fire, and it has since been extinguished by the Hereford and Worcester Fire Service, helped by crews from the south Wales fire authorities. Currently the cause and origin investigation related to the fire is ongoing. CLEAN will be working with all the appropriate authorities to ensure that any lessons are learned, and any risks further reduced in the future.

Leanna joined CLEAN as a Newly Qualified Driver HGV Driver just over two years ago. Having been a delivery driver in the past Kevin wanted to take a break from being on the road. He first joined CLEAN as a Loader in the Transport Department. Hospitality Expo, is a new exhibition taking the place of the UKHA Shared Knowledge Day. Traditionally, UKHA Shared Knowledge Day was held in London and for the past few years at the Park Plaza Westminster. The Hospitality Expo event, taking place at the main grandstand at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire from 24-25 April, is aimed at procurement managers, general managers and housekeepers from hotels across the country.
