How does workwear rental work? A plain English guide
In short, workwear rental means a supplier owns, supplies and launders your uniforms for a regular fee. Clean garments are delivered on a fixed schedule; used ones are collected, washed, and inspected; and worn or damaged items are repaired or replaced. Sizing, new starters and leavers are handled as part of the service.

Contamination risks hiding in plain sight in food production workwear
Most contamination risks on a food site are the ones you have already designed out. The controls are written up, the zones are colour coded, the swabs come back clean. The risks worth a second look are the quiet ones that sit inside routines everyone trusts. Workwear is often one of them, because a coat that looks clean and a coat that is hygienically clean are not always the same thing. With BRCGS audits to prepare for and Christmas production about to push everything harder, this is a good moment to walk the garment journey as you would a HACCP flow and ask where a hazard could slip through.

What do the EN standards on workwear labels actually mean?
EN standards are the European safety standards against which protective workwear is tested and certified. The pictograms on a garment's label indicate which hazards it protects against, and the numbers and letters alongside them indicate the level of protection it provides. Read together, they tell you exactly what a garment is certified to do.

How many production hours are you losing to managing workwear on site every week?
Monday, 7.40 am. Two new starters need kitting out, and nobody can find medium coveralls. A team leader wants to swap a jacket with a broken zip. Someone on nights has reported his locker empty again. By the time the line starts, the shift supervisor has spent forty minutes on clothing, and it is only Monday.Nobody puts workwear admin on a spreadsheet, which is why it survives. The time it takes is real; it lands on your most experienced people, and on many sites, it adds up to a working day every week.

The hidden cost of 'owned' workwear: why ownership is more expensive than rental
Buying workwear outright feels like the economical choice. You pay a known price per garment, hand it out, and the job appears to be done. The purchase price is visible, easy to approve and easy to compare, which is exactly why it is misleading. Almost everything workwear costs a business happens after the invoice is paid.

Floor Mat Rental: why renting your commercial floor mats makes more sense than buying them
Floor mats rarely make it onto anyone's list of priorities. They sit quietly at entrances, beside workstations and across kitchen floors, doing their job without much attention. Yet they carry a surprising amount of responsibility. They keep dirt and moisture out, reduce the risk of slips, protect your flooring, and often form the first impression a visitor has of your business.
