Posted on Jul 01, 2026

We are pleased to announce that CLEAN Linen & Workwear will continue as the Official Clean Sheet Sponsor of Cheltenham Town Football Club for the 2026/27 season. Known to supporters as the "Robins" or "Town", the Club has been our partner since last season, when we became its first-ever Clean Sheet Sponsor.

What Is a "Clean Sheet"?

In football, a "clean sheet" is a respected achievement. It describes a match in which a team concedes no goals, a result that depends on the consistent effort of every player, particularly the goalkeepers and defenders, across the full ninety minutes.

That focus on reliability and high standards is something we understand well. By providing dependable workwear rental and laundry services, we help teams across hospitality, engineering, manufacturing, and a host of other industries focus on what they do best. We know a thing or two about clean sheets, too. CLEAN is trusted to deliver millions of them to customers every year, which makes celebrating the Robins' clean sheets on the pitch a fitting connection for our brand.

A Partnership We're Proud to Continue

Having become Cheltenham Town's first-ever Official Clean Sheet Sponsor last season, we are glad to be carrying our partnership with Cheltenham Town FC into 2026/27. Our first season together gave us a real taste of what it can produce.

Across the 2025/26 campaign, the Robins recorded 13 clean sheets in all competitions across 54 matches, with 12 of those arriving after Steve Cotterill returned as manager. That turnaround showed what goalkeeper Joe Day and the backline are capable of under settled, experienced leadership. An 18th-place finish was the platform, and 2026/27 is the opportunity to build on it.

As part of the renewed agreement, we will again sponsor the Club's first-team goalkeepers as their Business Player Sponsors. The goalkeeper is central to every clean sheet, so it feels right that our support is focused here.

We will also retain our advertising at the EV Charger Points Stadium, keeping the CLEAN name visible to supporters throughout the campaign. Our approach remains practical and supportive rather than showy, and here's hoping for considerably more clean sheets in 2026/27 as the Robins look to push further up the table.

Rooted in the Local Community

While the partnership is built around football, its foundation lies in our connection to the local community. CLEAN's Cheltenham laundry site specialises in workwear rental and laundering, serving businesses across Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, neighbouring counties, and the UK. The same site is home to our Special Occasion Linen service, which provides napkin and table linen hire for prestigious events, weddings, and corporate and private functions nationwide.

This is detailed work that depends on the care of the colleagues who carry it out day after day. For the team at our Cheltenham site, backing the local club is a genuine point of pride, and a reflection of the steady, reliable effort that produces results, whether on the pitch or in the laundry.

Words from the Partners

Debbie Wills, Site Director at CLEAN Workwear, Cheltenham, commented:

"Our Cheltenham site is proud to be part of the local community, so backing the team for another season means a great deal to us. We're pleased to continue as the Club's Official Clean Sheet Sponsor and to support the first-team goalkeepers as their Business Player Sponsors for 2026/27. Keeping things spotless and getting the details right, day in and day out, is what our business is built on, and it's the same discipline we see from the keepers every matchday."

Luke Saunders, Commercial Manager at Cheltenham Town, said:

"We are very pleased that CLEAN Linen & Workwear will remain as our official clean sheet sponsors for the 2026/27 season after the first of its kind partnership was launched last season. It's a unique sponsorship opportunity that aligns perfectly with the brand it's associated with, and we are looking forward to another season working with CLEAN. Here's to plenty of clean sheets in the upcoming campaign."
