Meet Sylwia

Customer Service & Administration Executive at our Slough Laundry

“I provide customer service and administration support to the Site Director and my colleagues at our flagship Slough laundry. In addition, I am the main liaison point between our customer service centre, the laundry and our customers. Here at Slough we deliver over 1 million pieces of bed linen, towelling and table linen to customers in London, the South East of London and beyond. The Slough laundry site was opened in 2016 and is one of the biggest and most efficient laundries in Europe. I am always amazed by the amount of technology in use here but despite the high levels of automation it’s the team here that makes the operation run like clockwork.”

My Career

“I have performed several roles for the company. I started working in production for CLEAN at the now closed linen and workwear laundry in Maidenhead. While working at the Maidenhead site I provided support to the workwear customer service team in the office before moving back to production becoming a Quality Auditor in the laundry. More recently I worked at Head Office in the workwear customer service team before transferring to Slough where I have just started a new role. CLEAN have supported my development by funding training courses such as an NVQ in Customer Service. I plan to continue to move forward and keep learning new things. In time, I will gain more experience and knowledge about administration and personnel.”

What does my job involve?

“My job involves ensuring that any issues raised by customers are dealt with effectively and efficiently. This often involves liaising with our production and transport teams to answer customer queries. Good communication with colleagues and team work means most challenges are easily overcome. I also support the HR team with the administration of employee matters such as sickness records, annual leave, new starters and record changes to make sure everything is documented in line with company procedures.”

Whats it like to work at CLEAN?

“I like that I work with great competent people who support me every day from whom I can learn lot. I would describe my work life at CLEAN as safe, progressive and results orientated.”

Away from work

“I'm a perfectionist in everything I do and I don't like to experience any failures.”
