Meet Josh

Production Manager

I am the Production Manager at CLEAN Yeovil. I have worked in the Laundry and Workwear Industry for past 9 years, before my career started at CLEAN I completed my National Diploma in Construction.

My Career

“I started working for CLEAN in 2013 as a Production Operator. I worked on the ironer - feeding linen. Later I was moved to the towel folder and then I was trained to work in the wash house. I was then trained to do the ministry of defence work (MOD) - sorting, counting stock, washing, processing the stock, packing and dispatching back to the customer. After a year of working for CLEAN, I was promoted to Production Supervisor where my role was to supervise production, help out wherever I could, report any accidents or machinery malfunctions to the engineers. After three years of being production supervisor, I was promoted to Production Manager.”

What does my job involve?

“My role as a Production Manager is to lead the production team to meet the daily demand from our customers. I strive to continuously improving our performance, processes and quality to provide our customers with the best service possible. I also conduct the interviews for new Production Operatives who wish to join our team. Apart from this, I am also a mental health first aider, first aider and forklift driver. I really enjoy the variety of tasks that my role gives me.”

Whats it like to work at CLEAN?

“Becoming a Supervisor and a Manager has giving me the confidence to approach people more as well was improving my listening skills. It's very important to not jut speak to people but also to also to listen to their concerns. The next step for me would be be for me to become the operations manager here at CLEAN Yeovil. I would like to eventually become a Site Director.”

Away from work

“I love to spend time with my kids, going out and exploring areas with our metal detectors, as well as going to the beach with our paddle boards. I play for a local football team which I have done so for the last 15 years. This is my passion it takes away all the stresses in life and keeps me both physically and mentally fit.”
