Industrial Uniform Laundry Process
In this video we guide you through our ISO 9001 Quality Management Certified laundry process at our Cheltenham laundry where the uniforms are scanned and tracked throughout the process. Firstly, all the uniforms returned by our customers are scanned to register that they have been returned to the laundry at this stage they are also sorted, checked for any damage that might need repair and any foreign objects are removed. The next stage is washing where full thermal disinfection is carried out to remove any dirt, bacteria or viruses that could be present, before transferal to our high care facility. This is where a second scan and quality check takes place before the finishing process where drying and further thermal disinfection take place. Any damage that has been reported, either by customers before being returned to the laundry or identified at the laundry, undergoes stringent inspection. Depending upon the findings of the inspection, garments are either repaired, damaged labels replaced or garments are removed and replaced with new garments.

Claire’s Story - from Administrator to Operations Manager
Claire started working for CLEAN in as a Site Administrator in 2014. Her first role was to support the management team and provide admin support to ensure the smooth running of the laundry site. In this role Claire assisted with payroll administration, ensuring people got paid correctly and on time, supporting the human resources and being a point of contact for customer service queries, liaising with the operations and transport teams and the laundry and the customer service centre. A health and safety culture and ensuring colleagues, customers and contractors return home safely to their families at the end of every working day is part of the company ethos at CLEAN.

Somerset Larder - Workwear Service Case Study

A Statement about the Fire at our Ross-on-Wye Laundry
On 2nd May 2022 a fire broke out at our laundry site in Netherton Road, Ross-on-Wye. Firstly, and most importantly, nobody was injured in the fire, and it has since been extinguished by the Hereford and Worcester Fire Service, helped by crews from the south Wales fire authorities. Currently the cause and origin investigation related to the fire is ongoing. CLEAN will be working with all the appropriate authorities to ensure that any lessons are learned, and any risks further reduced in the future.

Hospitality Expo, is a new exhibition taking the place of the UKHA Shared Knowledge Day. Traditionally, UKHA Shared Knowledge Day was held in London and for the past few years at the Park Plaza Westminster. CLEAN reduces vehicle emissions using innovative solar technology
CLEAN has partnered with TRAILAR, fuel and emission reduction technology experts to reduce the CO2 emissions of its vehicle fleet. The system harnesses free, clean energy from the sun, to power electrical ancillary equipment including the tail-lifts that are in frequent use to load and off load laundry cages. Solar mats fitted to the rooves of our delivery vehicles have significantly reduced the need to create electrical energy by the burning of diesel fuel and are therefore, saving fuel, CO2 and maintenance costs. The adoption of the technology has resulted in a 5.5% reduction in fuel usage that equates to a 1,475kg CO2 saving per vehicle each year.
